Forum on Women and Girls
In January 2020, Spitfire worked with the Aspen Institute Forum on Women and Girls (AIFWG) to develop and launch SOAR, a new initiative that spotlights and supports inspiring leaders who have broken barriers, pursued bold ideas, and are improving the lives of women and girls around the world. Spitfire provided brand support, core messaging, promotion, and extensive collateral development for the landmark initiative that included Aspen’s first-ever, all-women fellowship.
To prepare for the launch of SOAR, Spitfire led the creation of a brand refresh for the Forum and created a complementary sub-brand for the SOAR Leadership Series and Fellowship program. We also developed core messaging to describe the groundbreaking nature and purpose of the SOAR initiative. The branding work was incorporated into all design aspects of the initiative -- formal style guides, promotional materials, letterheads, PowerPoint templates, and logos. Spitfire also led the design of a new website which now serves as an engaging medium for audiences to learn more about Leadership Series, engage with the inaugural Fellowship class, connect with SOAR participants and channel inspiration through various tools, including an action plan and discussion guide, to stimulate conversation and spark real action with peers over time.
Leading up to the announcement of the Fellowship class and first Leadership Series event on March 3, Spitfire provided strategic guidance on a narrative frame to connect all four-event series together and curate unique perspectives and story line from the panelists. Spitfire further assisted with all promotional activities, including drafting press materials, creating engaging social content, and developing a promotion plan to leverage Aspen’s networks, drive visitors to the new website and encourage livestream participation and post-event engagement.
Spitfire continues to advise AIFWG and promote thoughtful engagement as the Fellowship program and Leadership Series continues throughout the year.
