Andrea is a strategic communicator and problem solver who is passionate about delivering smart work to better our world. At Spitfire, she supports clients and project teams with research, media relations, and writing. She works on a variety of subject matters, such as civil legal aid, affordable housing, women and girls empowerment, self-esteem, digital rights, and more.
Andrea pours her time and skills into making an impact on the lives of others. While in university, she started off with an interest in architecture, intrigued by urban planning and how neighborhood design can impact communities’ well-being. Andrea’s interest shifted when she discovered the potential of strategic communications as a versatile and effective vessel for social change.
Prior to Spitfire, Andrea was an account and project management intern at Digitas, a global digital marketing and technology agency, through the 4A’s Multicultural Advertising Internship Program (MAIP). She also interned with Marketing for Change, a creative firm specializing in behavior change, where she sharpened her research and writing skills with clients working on transportation and public health initiatives.
Andrea spends her free time enjoying the live music and food scenes of Washington, D.C., and taking lots of photos along the way. She graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in public relations and a minor in urban and regional planning.
