During his time at the University of Florida, Aaron participated in the Karel Fellowship for public interest communications, establishing his foundation for social change while interning at the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids. Following this experience, he presented on the need to take apart the malicious tactics of Big Tobacco at the 2016 frank gathering and was a member of the advisory group for CVS Health’s Be The First initiative. The Society of Professional Journalists Florida Pro Chapter recognized Aaron and his colleagues for their multimedia storytelling project – You Are Now Live – which examined the unexpected consequences of live-streamed video.
