Spitfire Strategies

Jae Aron

Senior Account Executive

Jae brings extensive communications and political experience to Spitfire’s D.C. office, where she draws on her knack for writing, editing, and storytelling to spark positive social change.

Before Spitfire, Jae flew across the pond to obtain a master’s of science in politics and communication from the London School of Economics. Last fall, she earned the highest mark of “Distinction” for her dissertation, which analyzed the changing political role of Democrats Abroad, the official wing of the Democratic Party outside the United States.

Jae’s strong interest in media and politics took off as an undergraduate at Wesleyan University (go Wes!), where she majored in American studies and served as editor-in-chief of her college newspaper. After a year teaching English in Cadiz, Spain, Jae moved to D.C. to pursue her passion for politics and advocacy. Jae’s previous experience includes working as a political writer for Mack Crounse Group, a Democratic direct mail firm; as a digital strategist for progressive candidates and causes at Anne Lewis Strategies, LLC; and most recently, as a communications associate at Rescue: The Behavior Change Agency.

At Rescue, she crafted and executed the communications strategy, media outreach and event materials for Rev Your Bev, a statewide public health campaign in Virginia to raise awareness about health effects of sugary drinks. In May 2015, more than 300 events were held across the state of Virginia for the third annual Rev Your Day – and the biggest day-of-action yet.
