Senior Account Executive
Jae brings extensive communications and political experience to Spitfire’s D.C. office. At Spitfire, she has a knack for finding, writing and placing stories that inspire positive social change – whether she’s fighting for immigration rights, access to health care or women’s economic justice. Her clients include the American Civil Liberties Union, the Center for Community Change and the Rockefeller Family Fund.
Before Spitfire, Jae flew across the pond to receive her masters in politics and communication from the London School of Economics. She earned the highest mark of “Distinction” for her dissertation, which analyzed the changing political role and identity of Democrats Abroad, the official wing of the Democratic Party outside the United States. Jae’s strong interest in media and politics took off as an undergraduate at Wesleyan University (go Wes!), where she majored in American studies and served as editor-in-chief of her college newspaper.
After a year teaching English in the south of Spain, Jae moved to the District in 2012 to work as a political writer for Mack Crounse Group, a Democratic direct mail firm. Since then, she has broadened her communication expertise, working as a digital strategist for progressive candidates and causes at Anne Lewis Strategies, LLC; and most recently, developing and implementing marketing campaigns to promote healthy behaviors at Rescue: The Behavior Change Agency.
When she’s not brunch-ing or happy hour-ing, Jae is likely planning her next adventure, both at home and abroad. Her 2018 New Year’s Resolution? To visit all 50 U.S. states before her 30th birthday.
