Senior Account Executive
Alina Evans brings a passion for social justice as well as experience in strategic communication, research and analysis, media relations and advocacy. At Spitfire, Alina confronts issues ranging from clean air and water, to Internet freedom in Africa, for clients such as Earthjustice and the Ford Foundation. Alina also provides writing and strategy support to AndACTION, Spitfire’s pop culture hub.
Prior to joining Spitfire, Alina worked for Talk to Jess, a consulting firm that advises global brands on the issues facing today’s women and girls. She helped One Student, a national organization that aims to reduce sexual assault, increase its online and media presence by updating its web content and developing a digital marketing strategy. Alina also interned at Food and Water Watch, where she helped to pass a moratorium on fracking in Los Angeles. Her interest in fracking and environmental issues began with her previous work at the Global Exchange, where she helped to organize a campaign to ban fracking throughout California.
Born in San Francisco and raised in Santa Cruz, California, Alina earned a master’s in public diplomacy from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles (USC).
Alina also studied at the University of California at Santa Barbara, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in communications and directed the Student Sustainability Program. As part of her coursework, Alina studied in Barcelona for one year and is fluent in Spanish.
