Where were you before Spitfire?

I spent several years at Media Matters for America, cultivating expertise in media analysis, crisis communication and combating right-wing media misinformation. I led a large department of researchers and media monitors, and developed rapid response communication plans to defend progressive priorities and organizations. I enjoyed working on a wide range of issues – especially reproductive health rights, gender equity and immigration – in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment. Fun fact: Thanks to my years at Media Matters, I can win ANY Fox News trivia contest.

What made you want to be a Spitfire?

I was initially drawn to Spitfire for its extensive client list of environmental advocacy organizations, but was sold after meeting the energetic, tenacious staff. Despite starting during a tough time immediately following the election, it’s been reassuring to work with a team so genuinely driven to help clients make positive change.

How are you sparking change as Spitfire these days?

One of the best parts of working with Spitfire is the wide variety of exciting projects and causes. I’m especially thrilled to be working with some really important environmental groups to protect our public lands and wildlife.

What’s your favorite activity to do in D.C.?

I spend as much time as possible outside. During the week, I enjoy D.C.’s many parks with my dog, and on the weekends I like to take advantage of our close proximity to lots of great hiking!
