Spitfire was founded in 2002 by Kristen Grimm. After working in the public interest communications field for more than 12 years, Grimm realized that many of the groups that work toward positive change need more than traditional public relations. Grimm believed there was a need for a more holistic approach to crafting an organization’s communications vision, strategy and tactics. Grimm created Spitfire Strategies to work with organizations to maximize their resources by honing their communications abilities and efforts. In a perfect world, Grimm envisions no organization fighting for positive social change would ever waste a penny on an ineffective communications effort - with every dollar instead going toward highly valued results that move organizations closer to their social change goals.
