Daisy Chew, Account Executive

Daisy Chew provides support for the planning and implementation of a variety of Spitfire training events and programs. Daisy focuses on coordinating all logistical aspects of executive nonprofit trainings for grantees sponsored by some of the country’s biggest foundations, such as the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the David and Lucile Packard Foundation and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. She manages the logistics for Spitfire's Strategic Communications Grantmaker training which offers foundation staff a combination of training and strategic counsel aimed at building the skills, knowledge and understanding they need to make communications an integral part of their funding strategy and increase the overall effectiveness of their grants.

Prior to joining Spitfire, Daisy worked for the Adult Protective Services (APS) Training Project at the Bay Area Academy in Oakland, Calif. She assisted in the planning and implementation of Adult Protective Services trainings to enhance the skills of county social workers who serve elders and adults with disabilities throughout the state of California. Daisy worked on organizing trainings focused on the challenges of serving APS clients with limited mental function, exploring the meaning of ethics and values as they relate to APS social work and investigations and supporting vulnerable adults in the face of sexual assault.

Daisy holds a B.S. in international business from San Francisco State University. During her time there, she served as a student intern for the Asian Student Union, where she organized and facilitated student community service events affecting the Asian American community in the Bay Area. Her most exciting accomplishment was organizing a day of fun activities for senior citizens living in San Francisco’s Chinatown District, where student volunteers and senior citizens came together and enjoyed a day of art activities and musical performances.
