Jaymie Gustafson, Senior Associate

Jaymie Gustafson has more than a decade of marketing and outreach experience focused on strategic media relations, branding, event planning, social media outreach and crisis communications.

Before joining Spitfire, Jaymie managed day-to-day public relations efforts for MY M&M’S personalized chocolate candies including proactive and opportunistic media relations activities, social media outreach and new product introductions. She also promoted milk to moms as a key source of vitamin D, bone-building calcium and eight other essential nutrients on behalf of the National Milk Mustache “got milk?” Campaign and educated consumers about the health benefits of tart cherries for the Cherry Marketing Institute.

Jaymie brings strong new media experience to the team, having designed social media strategies to engage bloggers and key online stakeholders, developed online identities to help organizations connect with outside audiences and engaged expert spokespeople to provide content directly to consumers using social media channels.

Previously, Jaymie promoted the Cartoon Network and PTA’s Rescuing Recess campaign, highlighting the importance of unstructured play time for school-aged children and supporting a national letter writing campaign to preserve recess in schools. She also led publicity efforts for Arzu Rugs, a non-profit organization that provides sustainable income to Afghan women.

Jaymie has a strong background in consumer health education, planning and executing local market breast cancer education efforts on behalf of AstraZeneca’s Visions of Hope campaign in conjunction with Susan G. Komen for the Cure and coordinating education seminars with the Vitality for Life and Baseline 50 campaigns.

A graduate of Miami University in Ohio, Jaymie graduated with a B.A. in political science.
